Device Request Form

Dear Rocco Laurie Families,
 
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year.  If you would like your child to receive a device this year, please fill out the survey below so that we may begin to hand out the technology early in the school year.  If you have questions or concerns, please email Mr. Primm at jsilvermanprimm@schools.nyc.gov. As always, if needed, you may also email Mr. Whitford at dwhitfo@schools.nyc.gov. Please know that once we loan you a device your family is responsible for that loaner for the entire year until we collect it in June.

Lunch Form Letter

Each year we ask families to complete a Lunch form. This form is a key factor in determining whether
your child’s school is eligible to receive funding.

IS 72 Grade Policy

 Grading Policy - Google Docs.pdf 

English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science and Spanish:

        60%-Assessments (including but not limited to: tests, performance tasks, lab reports, simulations, socratic seminars, writing pieces, etc.)

        30%-Classwork (task completion, preparedness, punctuality, participation, etc.)

        10%-Homework (assigned on Monday and due on Friday-except Math)

 

Minor Tracks (ex: Dance, Band, Lego, Art etc.) 

        80% -Participation/Classwork

        20%-Assessment

 

Physical Education:

        60%-Participation

        40%-Classwork/Preparedness (students must wear their gym uniform to school on gym days).

 

*Cheating and plagiarism are strictly prohibited and are addressed in the DOE Discipline Code.

*Late assignments are assessed for credit on a rolling basis.
